You have to check out this powerful song called ‘Yes He Lives’ by Hannah Hobbs. The lyrics will remind you of the beauty and love of God.
“On a hill for sinners, His body broken, a King forsaken as He hung on that cross
The veil in pieces, the temple shaken, they mourned the Saviour, but it wasn’t for long
Oh, He lives, He’s risen from the grave, victorious our Saviour reigns, oh yes, He reigns
He rose, the stone is rolled away, forever our Redeemer lives, oh yes He lives”
The new album from Hannah Hobbs is called Sundown, and it features this song ‘Yes He Lives’ on it. This most recent project was recorded during an intimate night of worship where Hannah gathered friends and family in Australia from all walks of life to praise God together with songs from her solo debut album.
“The heartbeat behind this project was to carve out some space to worship and rest in the presence of God,” shared Hannah. “The word Sabbath comes to us from the Hebrew word ‘Shabbat’ literally meaning to stop or to rest.
The Sabbath is typically observed from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown. A day of worship, rest, and an effort to eliminate distractions and draw near to God. My hope is that this project will become a ‘sundown’ moment for people. An open door, signifying us stepping into a time of rest and refreshing in God’s presence.”
Hannah continued: “‘Yes He Lives’ is the kind of song that will lift your spirits as you sing along to it – reminding you of the love and power of God. My prayer is that this song would be a great reminder to people of the victorious love that we find in Christ.”
What a powerful message and wonderful song! May it leave you encouraged today.
