A 21-year-old woman blesses a 71-year old DoorDash driver working three jobs thanks to the power of the internet.

You’ve heard more and more elderly are taking jobs in order to make ends meet in this tough economy. But Anabelle Grace Stephens wanted to make a difference.

She ordered some food and was surprised to find Kerry Judd standing outside her door with her delivery. She thanked him and even gave him a $30 tip on a $21 meal. Anabelle then posted a video of Kerry onto TikTok.

The video showed Kerry moving, struggling, and slowly walking up the steps. It honestly broke Anabelle’s heart. She knew if it was her grandpa, she wouldn’t want to see him working, instead, she would want him sitting at home in a comfortable chair surrounded by family.

After she posted the video, she said she never expected a response or anyone to really care about a video revealing an old man making a delivery. So she was shocked when one person commented, “That’s sad someone his age is even working at all.” Another viewer posted, “I hope this old man is just working because he wants to stay active and have something to do.”

After reading the comments, Anabelle was inspired to try and help Kerry. She created a Go Fund Me page to raise donations so Kerry wouldn’t have to work as much. But Anabelle never expected to receive an overwhelming amount of support to the tune of $74,000.

It is stunning and amazing when humanity comes together with the common goal of helping someone don’t you think? Anabelle went to dinner with Kerry and found out he’s a father of two who works two additional jobs in addition to DoorDash delivery. The $74,000 was a surprising and humbling gift that will help make Kerry’s life much easier.

We hope this story inspires you to be the hands and feet of Jesus and help someone in need. It could be as simple as paying for their coffee, carrying their groceries, holding a door open, or asking God to bless those in need.

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10
