Listen to the powerful production of ‘Used to This’ — Elevation Worship and Maverick City.

These talented musicians created yet another beautiful song for worship. The partnership of Elevation Worship and Maverick City truly created an entire album of meaningful worship music.

Elevation Worship is a worship ministry for Elevation Church in North Carolina, and its Youtube account has over 3 million subscribers. The group has released 12 studio albums with many different members in the past 10 years. They also produced a handful of independent albums. Most of Elevation Worship’s albums were recorded live at concerts.

The more recently formed group, Maverick City, started making music together in 2018. They released their first EPs in 2019 with loads of positive feedback. Although they didn’t realize it at first, the group’s purpose became amplifying minority voices in the contemporary Christian music genre.

‘Used to This’ is yet another masterpiece on their mashup album, ‘Old Church Basement.’ Backed by a choir of believers, Naomi Raine’s voice will transport you to group worship in your mind. It’s almost like you’re in the room with all of them.

The song also features Brandon Lake, a member of Maverick City like Naomi. Their voices together are magical. And so are the lyrics.

“Your embrace
Is what I’ve been missing
And I don’t want to let it go”

Those lyrics stood out in this song because even when you feel alone in your life, God will always be there for you. He will pick you up when you fall. He will be your shoulder to cry on. And He will take your worries away if you let Him.

But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
