Disney has released dozens of classic films. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid are just a few. However, in the last decade, no Disney film has reached the popularity of Frozen and one of the film’s songs, in particular.
Soon after Russian forces began their unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, a video of a little Ukrainian girl went viral. The video shows the child in a bomb shelter in her native Ukraine with dozens of others as she sings.
The child, in Ukrainian, sings “Let It Go,” the popular earworm song from Disney’s Frozen film.
Such a beautiful moment! Crying babies were even quiet during the performance.
Well, that little girl, who warmed the hearts of many around the world, was invited to sing that song in front of a live, massive studio audience.
The audience loves her performance, applauding wildly and giving her a standing ovation.
However, little did the girl – 7-year-old Amelia Anisovych – know that she would meet the real Elsa! At the conclusion of her performance, the two women who played the Disney princesses – Anna and Elsa – in the West End play version of the film, came out on stage in costume, as the video shows.
The two women continue singing the song. One sings in English, while the other sings in Ukrainian as they approach the little girl. Both give her a massive hug.
To say the little girl was overjoyed would be an understatement! She doesn’t even try to hide that she is thrilled to be meeting Anna and Elsa. Amelia’s eyes widen in surprise, and she has a smile that reaches from ear to ear.
Young Amelia’s genuine reaction is enough to cause even the most hard-hearted person to shed a tear or two!
Matthew 19:14 “But Jesus said, Let the little ones come to me and do not keep them away: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
