Many people around town call Carol Stark the ‘crazy lady.’ For years, this 73-year-old has been helping local children who have fallen through the cracks by giving them jobs and helping them get on their feet.
When Mike Rowe and the crew with his show Returning The Favor heard about Carol and her good deeds, they knew they needed to honor this woman in a special way. So Mike traveled to Lancaster, PA to give Carol a great surprise. They got the entire community involved and decided to gather everyone at the local high school, including many teens Carol has helped over the years.
Mike planned a fake dinner with Carol when he was really going to drive her straight onto the football filled with a stadium full of her supporters. And her face when she realizes exactly what is happening truly says it all. This sweet woman has impacted so many lives in her community and Mike hopes that sharing her story will inspire others to live like Carol.
I’m so glad this amazing woman was honored in such an amazing way. The world is blessed to have this sweet lady in it.
