A family of gifted vocalists had the studio audience and the judges on their feet following their inspired ‘How Far I’ll Go’ audition on America’s Got Talent.
Musical acts come in all forms. Often they are made up of friends who, after years of playing together, come to the public’s attention. Also, musical acts can and have been made up of families. The Beach Boys, The Jackson 5, the Bee Gees, The Allman Brothers Band and The Carpenters are just a few of the well-known acts that fall neatly into that category.
There is another group that can be added to that exclusive category: The Sharpe Family Singers. The six-member group comprises, you guessed it, an entire family. Mom and Dad are the oldest and most tenured members, with a daughter and three sons rounding out the group.
The Sharpe Family Singers’ stunning display of musical talent as they sang the iconic and beloved song from the Disney animated film “Moana” seemed to surprise the judges and the audience alike. Their beautiful tones and harmonies worked perfectly together to create a memorable audition.
At one point during the audition, the camera turned to the judges’ table and caught Heidi Klum smiling and dancing around to the magnificent musical demonstration before her. Another time, the camera showed Heidi’s fellow judge, Sofía Vergara, with a massive smile as she looked on during the audition.
By the end of the audition, The Sharpe Family Singers have won over any and every skeptic. The entire room is on its feet, applauding the Sharpe Family Singers' dazzling performance.
The New Jersey-based family, given their song selection, voice type and beautiful harmonies, would make a perfect addition to a Broadway show. After this audition, they likely won’t have an issue making a living sharing their musical talents.
Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us make songs to the Lord; sending up glad voices to the Rock of our salvation.”
