Check out one man sing all four parts of this a cappella performance of the hymn ‘The Lily of the Valley.’
“I’ve found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me, He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
The Lily of the Valley, in Him alone I see, all I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
In sorrow He’s my comfort, in trouble He’s my stay; He tells me every care on Him to roll.
He’s the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.”
This hymn was written in 1881 by Charles Fry. Some of the scripture it was influenced by was Song of Solomon 2:1; 5:10; Psalm 27:4; 45:2; and 1 Corinthians 1:30.
The man who is singing in this video is Michael Eldridge, and he is extremely talented. He sings the bass, lead, tenor, and alto parts in this song, and he does them all so beautifully. The music and his vocals are just so wonderful and lovely to listen to.
“Love what you’re doing – singing His praises with such joy and beauty,” comments one person on YouTube after watching Michael’s video. “God bless and keep you Brother.”
“I’m loving this hymn today and can truly say it lifted my spirit to be reminded that HE is everything I need in life,” writes another person online. “Blessings, Michael, as you continue to minister the Word in song.”
Michael is a pharmacist by trade, but he uses his passion for singing to glorify God and encourage those around him. And he is doing just that through his YouTube channel!
May Michael continue to use his gifts to shine a light into this world! And may we all use this as a reminder to take the gifts that we’ve been given and use them to spread hope and love.
