Jesus Christ was sent into the world in order to save and give hope to dying and lost people. John 3:17 reads, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” It was at the cross, on calvary, that Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice. One song speaks to the power and message of that sacrifice.

The video to the song “At the Cross” by Tasha Cobbs Leonard begins with the singer walking out onto the dark stage and stepping to the microphone. The singer’s appearance on stage is met with several people applauding.

The song’s lovely music soon gets underway and a video showing an empty cross is shown on the screen behind Tasha. It stays on and plays throughout the entirety of the video.

The song’s first verse makes it entirely clear what Christ did at the cross and how it impacts the lives of everyone who has lived, is living and will live on earth.

Next, the second verse states how Christ, who was perfect, took our shame upon himself. His act of love on the cross gave us a chance. It’s because of his move, as the song points out, that we can be born again, forgiven of our sins.

The song’s chorus, expertly sung by Tasha, reiterates the significance of Christ’s death.

“At the cross, at the cross

Where His grace

It covers me”

Tasha ends the video, after finishing her song, by saying, “he did it for all of us.”

Be sure and give a listen to Tasha’s beautiful song about Jesus Christ’s act of love and mercy on the cross all those years ago.
