It doesn’t get much cuter than this when this sweetest little girl instinctively protects her dog’s ears from loud fireworks!

When we bring an animal into our lives, we are truly making them a part of the family. Dogs become more than just pets, they become our comforters, our playmate, and companions. They love us unconditionally. These furry chums have proven they will always be there for us in the good times and bad. And it just so happens in this video, it wasn’t a great time for this precious pup. It’s the Chinese New Year which includes all the celebrations of new beginnings and the celebration includes fireworks.

Just like Independence Day celebrations for America, fireworks are a part of the fun. But for dogs, it means loud noises that hurt their sensitive ears. Even though our precious furry family members know there’s nothing to be afraid of, they get anxious because it hurts their ears. But they will stay by our side even if they are uncomfortable.

It’s evident in this video just how close this little girl and her dog is. It’s truly unlike any other and this little girl and her dog are the perfect examples. Just watch as she looks over to her dog and carefully covers up her dog’s ears as fireworks boom in the distance. It’s almost as if they are having a silent conversation. It’s like she’s saying, “It’s okay, you always take care of me. Now it’s my turn to take care of you.”

I love how she holds his ears gently and he is happy she is providing a little extra protection with her hands. You cannot help but smile as you watch the pair. I’m so glad this sweet and precious moment was captured on camera because it’s a memory that will last a lifetime and remind others about the precious companionship of dogs.

Even though this sweet little girl couldn’t be more than three years old, the love she shows her dog is unconditional just like the love from our heavenly Father. There’s no other kind of love to compare God’s love to. May we take a moment to thank God for this reminder.

“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” 1 John 4:16
