The 40 Fingers guitar quartet beautifully perform the popular song ‘Sound of Silence.’
“Hello darkness, my old friend, I’ve come to talk with you again, because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping, and the vision that was planted in my brain still remains
Within the sound of silence, in restless dreams I walked alone, narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a street lamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light, that split the night
And touched the sound of silence”
40 Fingers recorded this earlier this year when many people were isolating at home due to the coronavirus. “In these strange days of isolation at home, we really hope our music can resonate in your hearts and instill some hope,” 40 Fingers writes in the caption of this YouTube video. “We will see you all very soon.”
“You are so amazingly synchronized that even when you are physically isolated from each other, you sound as if you’re together,” writes one person on YouTube after watching the video. “Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.”
“I think this was the most beautiful version of this song I have ever heard! And it is my favorite song, so I listen to any rendition I can find!” comments another person on YouTube. “You, Gentlemen, are the best!”
40 Fingers is an acoustic guitar quartet based in Italy, and the group is composed of musicians Matteo Brenci, Emanuele Grafitti, Andrea Vittori, and Enrico Maria Milanesi. They all come from different music backgrounds and have more than 15 years of experience in live shows.
What an incredible cover of ‘Sound of Silence’ by 40 Fingers, and we hope that you enjoyed listening to this talented guitar performance!
