The East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service jumped into action on Christmas Day when they found a deer with it’s antlers caught in a wire fence. The poor animal was struggling to free himself, but couldn’t get out of the wire. There was even a small herd of female deer by his side, concerned for their male friend.

Thankfully, these rescuers arrived just in the nick of time and, together, they helped subdue the deer. Then, they removed the wire caught around his antlers. At first, the deer was apprehensive about his rescuers, but once he realized they were only there to help, he started to calm down.

Finally, the wire was all gone and they released the deer back into the wild to be with his family. I’m so glad that this kind group of people arrived when they did and they did not hesitate to do what was needed. I’m so glad there are people like this in the world and that they were able to help this deer be free again. God bless these rescuers.
