A stunning performance on The Voice left one of the biggest names in music searching for answers.
Decades after American Idol first premiered on television in the United States, competitive singing programs remain extremely popular. The Voice, The X Factor and The Masked Singer are just a few shows that have followed in Idol’s footsteps.
Currently, contestants are battling one another, seeking to become the latest winner of The Voice. The program has now reached the Knockout phase of the competition. Those who hope to stay on the show must continually raise their game, which is exactly what Kylee Dayne did.
Kylee, a member of Team Blake, performed Eric Carmen’s classic “All by Myself.” To say she knocked it out of the park would be an understatement. She puts her beautiful singing voice on full display as she belts out the lyrics to the song from the 1970s.
All of the judges seem to love Kylee’s rendition of the song, especially Kelly Clarkson. Kelly makes several comments about the young lady’s performance.
In the middle of the song, Kelly says, “Oh my God, I didn’t know she had that.”
By the end of Kylee’s performance, the room explodes in thunderous applause. Niall Horan even shows his approval by giving the young woman a standing ovation.
Kelly is completely flabbergasted by what she has just witnessed.
“What?” Kelly asks. “Where did that come from?”
Blake, who is Kylee’s coach, responds sarcastically, taking credit for the show-stopping performance.
“That’s my coaching,” Blake says.
Whatever it was, Kylee showed that she is supremely talented and could easily go on to become the next winner of The Voice. If she keeps turning in performances of that caliber, she will be tough to beat.
