These sisters received an unexpected birthday surprise when their Olive Garden waiter belted out a stunning rendition of ‘Happy Birthday.’
Twins Hannah and Ella were celebrating their 17tth birthdays when they stopped in to the local Olive Garden restaurant with their family. Their mother, Amy Haddox, remembered that the placed was very busy since it was a Saturday and a holiday weekend.
So, when they told the server that they were dining for a birthday, they didn’t expect anything out of the ordinary. Little did they know that Alphonso “Alphy” Nichols was working as a waiter that night. Alphy is known around town for his incredible voice. In fact, he was even signed to a local record label in 2017.
When he heard there was a birthday celebration, he serenaded the girls with a very special version of ‘Happy Birthday.’ Amy remarked on the moment to Fox News saying, “The restaurant was silent. You could hear a pin drop. Everyone stopped what they were doing to listen.”
You can see from the Facebook video, that the girls were overjoyed with the one-of-a-kind performance. Just look at the smiles on their faces as Alphy stands behind them and belts out the iconic words.
Afterwards, Amy said, “There was tons of cheering and applause. He was very humble. He wasn’t looking for any accolades. He sang and then walked away.” But now, Alphy is being recognized all over the nation for this unforgettable moment.
With a voice like that, I truly hope we hear more from this young man in the future!
