Elderly residents at Bryn Celyn Care Home were in for a treat when they played a real life version of Hungry Hippos.

As the Coronavirus sweeps the globe, it has forced many people to self-quarantine and practice social distancing. A number of public places, such as hospitals and nursing homes, have closed to outside visitors in order to protect their patients and residents.

While this measure is extremely important for the safety of each person, but this can create some loneliness and longing for loved ones. Thankfully, the wonderful staff at Bryn Celyn Care Home is helping to ease this pain by keeping their residents happy and entertained.

Take this video, for example, where they created a real life game of Hungry Hippos. This popular board game aims for the plastic hippos to catch as many balls in the circle as possible.

The staff used sticks attached to boxes and then wheeled each resident in and out as they tried to gather balls. It was definitely an incredible moment full of laughs and smiles.

On Facebook, the team wrote, “Lots of laughter to lift morale of the team and residents!” And the video is getting attention all around the world with over 2 millions views and growing. One viewer said, “Oh wow!! This has lifted my spirits too watching the fun. The giggles and laughs of the ladies is wonderful to hear.”
