Joyce Meyer reminds us that God doesn’t make mistakes.

We’re living in a broken world, and we’re wondering if we’re the problem. We feel defeated, corrupted, and afraid everyone else is going to learn our little secret: we’re a mistake. But that’s not true.

Joyce shares she felt like God had somehow made a mistake when he created her. She felt less than and unworthy after years of abuse. She felt imperfect and useless after she came to know Christ as her savior.

That’s when the joy of the Lord began to bloom in her heart. Joyce began to set her mind on the truth of God’s word instead of the terrible messages she told herself. She said, “Let me tell you something. It is amazingly freeing when you come to the point of saying, “God loves me. I’m his child.

I’m not an accident. He created me. He has a purpose for me, and maybe other people have spent their whole lives trying to destroy me. But God, he is my healer, and I am on my way back.”

Isn’t that incredible? If only we could believe that. Sometimes it’s hard to stand on God’s word when it feels like the world is against us. Thank goodness for God’s mercy and strength. He lends it to us when we are at the end of our rope. Joyce shares facts about what God says about all of his beloved children.

We are not mistakes. We are not frauds. We are loved and worthy because God doesn’t make mistakes. He created each of us perfectly.

Let’s take a moment to pray. “Father God, when I am feeling insecure, help me to be secure in you. When I feel like I am a mistake, remind me that I am perfect because you created me. When I am feeling down, help me to lean in on your strength and stand on your truths. Amen.”

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well,” Psalm 139:14
