The official trailer for Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” reveals a rollercoaster ride of feelings.
On a typical, average day, a person can and will experience many emotions. Those feelings can span everything from complete and utter happiness and joy to devastating, debilitating sadness and grief. Of course, the situation and circumstances dictate the emotion or feeling we experience at the time.
Managing and controlling this wide array of feelings can be challenging at times. It can be hard to understand why or how we feel a certain way. As every parent knows, this can be especially true when the person in question is a teenager.
Teenagers are experiencing all kinds of changes, as is shown in the hilarious trailer for the animated film “Inside Out 2.” Having grown up some from the first film, Riley is now a teenager going through life and experiencing new emotions and situations.
The trailer’s opening seconds have audiences reacquainted with the emotions from the first film – joy, sadness, anger, fear, and disgust. But as the trailer continues, Riley celebrates her 13th birthday, and some brand-new emotions arrive.
Anxiety, envy, boredom and embarrassment make their appearance. And it looks like they are here to stay, with anxiety carrying plenty of baggage. The new emotions try to take over and replace the characters from the first film, but they aren’t going down without a fight.
Going through and experiencing change is never fun or easy, as the emotions from the first film soon learn. Adjustments to one’s routine and life can be painful, but not all change is bad, right?
“Inside Out 2” hits theaters on June 14. It features the voices of Amy Poehler, comedian Lewis Black, Tony Hale and Phyllis Smith.
