Hands down, this video is absolutely delightful and you can’t help but sing right along as husband and wife Katharine McPhee and David Foster perform, ‘Singing In The Rain.’

Katharine's strong and mesmerizing vocals will make you want to walk down the streets of New York City in a raincoat and umbrella while belting this song from the top of your lungs. At least that’s what I envision as I hear her voice.

I'm laughing at clouds.

So dark up above,

The sun's in my heart

And I'm ready for love.

Just when you think the song can’t get any better, her husband David lends his vocals and the rest is absolutely magic. They perfectly capture the essence of the song and movie that was released in the early 1950s. The song was originally performed by Gene Kelly as he tapped his way down the sidewalk in the rain when he realized he was falling in love.

It was such an iconic moment on the screen and the song has been a beloved household classic ever since. And this beloved American classic is the perfect song for David and his wife to perform, don’t you think?

Don’t you love how Katharine’s eyes light up when she looks at her husband? It’s as though he is the light of her life and their love permeates the notes of their performance together. Other viewers who watched this performance online had a lot to say about it too.

“Loved the duo, Kat & David Foster, you guys are terrific together, ‘Singing In The Rain.’” Another viewer said, “Love you both and I was a kid when ‘Singing in the Rain’ came out…beautiful rendition….great sound!” Another viewer commented, “Wow!! That was super spectacular! thank you for that moment of joy! thank you for sharing with us!”

Thank you to David and Katharine indeed. And thank the good Lord for giving us the pleasures of singing in the rain and falling in love. We know being a part of God’s family means we will find pleasures in his hands here and forevermore. Can I get an amen?

We hope this performance puts a smile on your face and a pep in your step!

“You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
