Contemporary Christian artist Natalie Grant and her husband, Bernie Helms, perform a beautiful rendition of ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow’ during quarantine.

These words have comforted so many hearts around the globe and they continue to make an impact today.

“Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.”

During this troubling time in our world, many people are practicing social distancing. As the days go on, it can be harder to find joy.

That’s when Natalie Grant and her husband decided to spread some kindness through the Internet with daily songs. On YouTube, she wrote, “I’m so grateful for music. It really is medicine.

Ever since I was a young girl, this song would be one of the first I would turn to in times of uncertainty and fear. I hope this is a little medicine for your soul.”

“I sing because I’m happy,
I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.”

Matthew 10:29-31: “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
