Mallory Headings’ grandpa suffers from dementia and when his wife was no longer able to care for him, he was put into a nursing home. Recently, Mallory and her family went for a visit and something amazing happened.
Mallory decided to start singing one of Grandpa’s favorite hymns ‘It Is Well.’ Once she started to sing, her Grandpa chimed in. Mallory and her grandpa used to sing old hymns together and he even remembered his harmony. This is such a heartwarming moment to witness.
Dementia can truly take a toll on a family, but I’m so glad that their love for the Lord brought these 2 back to each other. This is definitely a moment that they will cherish for a lifetime and I’m so glad that the family was able to capture it on video.
