An immensely popular and talented musician, Kacey Musgraves, turned in a chilling rendition of an Elvis Presley classic, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
Elvis Presley, even decades after his passing, remains one of the biggest names in all of entertainment. Simply saying his first name is enough for most people to understand you’re talking about the man with the Memphis, Tennessee, mansion and the blue suede shoes.
His songs and unmistakable voice are iconic, with many still trying to imitate the “King of Rock and Roll.” He had a massive amount of undeniable talent, starring on the screen and the concert stage. Elvis’ songs are heavily covered and heard to this day, nearly 50 years after his passing.
In a clip posted on YouTube, Kacey Musgraves is just the latest artist to cover a hit from the King of Rock and Roll. She gives an utterly dazzling performance of “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
“Take my hand
Take my whole life too
For I can’t help falling in love with you
For I can’t help falling in love with you”
Kacey’s beautiful voice and the simple but sweet and memorable lyrics are a perfect match. Her rendition is one that even the most diehard Elvis Presley fan is sure to enjoy. She doesn’t take many chances with the song, changing essentially nothing with the tune. But classics are considered classics for a reason, right?
Others, writing on YouTube, expressed their admiration for Kacey’s cover of the Elvis love song.
“Beautiful rendition of Elvis’s song Kacey is fabulous,” one person wrote.
“We really were So moved by this! In tears! This was so beautiful! Elvis would be so touched and moved,” someone else added.
Kacey sang her Elvis cover in front of his Tennessee home, Graceland. Her performance was part of NBC’s special “Christmas at Graceland.”
Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
