Watch this adorable baby elephant enjoy her first time in the rain — sure to put a smile on your face!

This spirited baby elephant is named Wan Mai and lives with a bunch of other happy elephants at Save Elephant Foundation’s Elephant Nature Park in Thailand.

Sangdeaun Lek Chailert founded the nonprofit organization to change the way that Asian elephants in Thailand were treated. She grew up shadowing her grandfather’s work as a shaman and fell in love with caring for animals.

She has devoted her entire life to the welfare of elephants. Lek won multiple awards for her efforts and even has a few documentaries out there about herself and the organization.

Apparently, monsoon season in that part of the world has started — meaning plenty of rain for the elephants to enjoy. Wan Mai was clearly loving her time playing in the rain, even after it stopped!

The cheery music really enhances how happy this video can make you. Watching her bounce around with excitement with happy music made my day.

In the very beginning, Wan Mai comes right up to the camera and flips her trunk up to show off her gleeful little smile. She seems to be with her mama and papa, but they could be other family members or friends. Either way, she adores playing with them!

She enjoys her time rolling around in the mud and throwing it on top of herself. You can even hear her squeals of excitement after the sun comes out! Probably because the mud is still there even though the rain stopped. Meaning more play time!

These little moments of happiness that all creatures experience should be recognized more often. Do something today that makes you as gitty as Wan Mai!

Then I commended mirth, because a man has no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labor the days of his life, which God gives him under the sun.
