Several members of America’s armed forces took the stage on America’s Got Talent, showing off their immense musical ability as they gave a rousing and inspiring rendition of a hit from the singer Pink.

The men and women who voluntarily join the many branches of America’s military put themselves in harm’s way for the good and safety of their fellow countrymen. In addition to possessing a spirit of service and sacrifice, those men and women are talented. They can perform several detailed and varying tasks, often under massive duress.

In their latest appearance on America’s Got Talent, members of the 82nd Airborne Division Chorus showed off some of that talent. They turned in an energetic and upbeat cover of Pink’s “I Am Here.” The audition and the judges alike adored the group’s stirring performance and the song’s positive and encouraging message.

The clip begins with the division filing out onto the stage in formation but doing so in a rhythmic way that fits perfectly with the beat and sound of the song. Then two people – a man and a woman – assume the singing duties while the remaining members act as background dancers, moving around the stage in a choreographed way.

Then, when the song reaches the chorus, all members of the 82nd Airborne Division Chorus stand shoulder to shoulder and sing together.

“I am here, I am here

I’ve already seen the bottom, so there’s nothing to fear

I know that I’ll be ready when the devil is near

I am here, I am here”

It’s a marvelous and thoroughly enjoyable display of musical talent, which ends with the entire room, judges included, giving them a well-deserved standing ovation. When it came time for the judges to comment on what they had just witnessed, they all articulated their love of the performance.

“It was fun, and it was emotive,” Simon Cowell said. “For me, this was a moment. You are one of my favorite acts this year.”

“It was fun, uplifting,” Sofía Vergara said. “It was perfect. You guys sound great.”

Psalm 105:2 “Sing to him, sing praises to him! Tell of all his marvelous works.”
