A handful of supremely talented vocalists turned in a catchy, toe-tapping performance of a song previously recorded by the popular country music group Rascal Flatts.
One of the best ways to describe life is as a journey. Twists, turns and unexpected detours abound on the highway of life. Some destinations are fun, thrilling and exciting, providing picture-perfect views and creating lifelong, deeply cherished memories. Other places along the road of life are much less enjoyable and can even be painful and heartbreaking. Regardless, life is a journey. It’s a highway, and we’re all constantly moving along life’s road, never staying in one place for too long.
In a clip posted on YouTube, the group Home Free performed “Life is a Highway.” It’s a tune about traveling all the twists, turns, bends and unexpected detours in life and taking all of it in stride.
However, part of that journey, which the song mentions, is about finding the right person for the trip. As everyone knows, road trips are always much more enjoyable and fun with someone else. Life is no different. No one knows what obstacles or problems will crop up in life, but having the love and support of someone willing to stand by your side through everything can and will make all the difference.
“Through all these cities and all these towns
It’s in my blood, and it’s all around
I love you now like I loved you then
This is the road, and these are the hands”
Home Free’s cover of “Life is a Highway” is more than worth a few listens and plays.
As their video shows, it appears that the guys had an absolute ball covering the song and putting their own twist on the catchy, upbeat tune. All that fun and enjoyment translates to the recording. The guys have created a delightful and pleasant cover.
Isaiah 62:10 “Go through, go through the doors; make ready the way of the people; let the highway be lifted up; let the stones be taken away; let a flag be lifted up over the peoples.”
