3-year-old Paisley dances with Grandpa who suffers from Alzheimer’s and dementia. Alzheimer’s and dementia are truly heartbreaking diseases that strip someone of their memories.

Our memories are what make up who we truly are and it’s devastating to have those slip away. It’s even harder to watch a loved one battle this disease. You see someone that you once knew so well lose their personality and spark.

It can be so hard to weather this storm but there are moments that make all of the tough times worthwhile.

When 3-year-old Paisley Evans wanted to dance with her grandfather, her dad helped make this special moment happen.

Paisley’s grandfather, Ricky, is only 66 years old but he suffers from Alzheimer’s, dementia and Parkinson’s disease. So when Paisley wanted to ‘go to the ball’ with him, she donned a beautiful dress and started to play ‘Beauty And The Beast.’

That is when Paisley’s dad helped support Ricky so that these two could share a sweet dance.

Together, all three members of the family sway to the classic melody. Once the moment was posted online, the video immediately captured the hearts of the world.

In fact, over 3 million people have watch this heartwarming dance across social media. There’s truly nothing like the relationship between a child and their grandparent. Even though Ricky battles debilitating diseases each and every day, there are moments of happiness that shine through.

I’m sure Paisley is going to remember this special dance for the rest of her life.
