A precious and adorable young man makes it a point to stop and greet every person he sees during a shopping trip with his mother.

Acknowledging someone does not require any talent or even much effort. It can be as simple as a head nod or a wave. No words have to be exchanged to let someone else know you see them. Letting someone know you see them is a simple act that can make a big difference. It may even make someone’s entire day.

A video posted on YouTube shows a young man, a toddler, who seems to be on a mission to say hello to everyone he spots. During a shopping trip to Target with his mother, Azai cheerfully greets everyone he sees in the store.

The short, 2-minute, and 30-second clip starts with Azai and his mother strolling down the aisle. Azai stands at the end of the cart as he sees a mother perusing the items in the aisle. As they get closer to the woman, Azai greets her.

“How you doing?” the adorable young man asks the unsuspecting female shopper.

At first, the woman seemed shocked at the child’s question. “Oh, I’m fine,” she eventually responds.

The young man even gives some people heartwarming embraces and asks others to “pound” while holding his clenched fist out to the shoppers.

About halfway through the clip, Azai and his mother see a man shopping alone. Azai greets the man, and they have a short conversation where the cute toddler asks how the man is doing.

The older gentleman tells Azai to never stop greeting and asking people how they are doing.

Acknowledging people, saying hello, and asking how they are doing may seem simple and mundane. However, for someone who feels alone and like no one cares about them, that simple act of kindness could make a world of difference.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”
