Two cute little children brought their musically gifted father on stage for an emotional and unforgettable audition on Britain’s Got Talent

Being a parent, while a monumental and often daunting task, is still one of life’s greatest blessings. Watching children grow, learn and explore an entire world is unlike anything else in life. Those moments must be cherished because they last for only a short period of time. Those who are parents wouldn’t trade time with their children for anything.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one man, 35-year-old Nick Edwards, was thrown for a loop when his two young children had him come up on stage and audition for Britain’s Got Talent. While he admitted that he was terrified and his confidence had been shaken, his moving performance had many, including the judges, wiping tears from their eyes.

While Nick’s musical talents – his vocals and guitar playing – were fantastic, something else had everyone in the room captivated and emotional. The lyrics were beautiful. It was evident that the words meant so much to him personally as the father of two girls.

“Someday, you’ll be dressed in white

All gracious with butterflies

But in my mind, I’ll let you go

In my heart, you’ll always stay”

By the end of his emotional audition, the entire room, including all four judges were on their feet, giving the young man a thunderous round of applause. Nick, moved by their overwhelmingly positive reaction, was also moved to tears.

When it came time for feedback, all four judges stated how the song hit them all square in the heart. Simon Cowell stated how much he enjoyed Nick’s lovely performance.

“It was so sweet,” Simon said. “You’ve got a nice voice.”

In the end, all four judges gave the young man who sang a song about his young daughters yes votes.
