One Christian musician gave a stirring rendition of “Here I Am to Worship,” a popular song about worshiping and praising the Lord for who He is and all He has done.
As John 3:16 mentions, God sent his only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him may not perish but have everlasting life. Christ came and willingly died upon the cross for the sins of all mankind. Because of that sacrifice and the blood spilled on the cross, everyone has a chance at life with Him.
Before that life-changing and world-alerting move, the world was a lost and dying place filled with people with no chance at redemption. Sin, disobedience and arrogance, as it continues to do so, wreaked havoc on the world. There was no hope, but God made a way through the death of his Son.
In the clip posted on YouTube, Abbie Gamboa gives an awe-inspiring performance, praising the Lord for that sacrifice that all Christians and believers in Christ enjoy. She performs “Here I Am to Worship.”
The tune's beautiful chorus mentions how the songwriter has come to worship Him. All distractions are set to the side. The songwriter's only objective is to worship the Lord and thank Him for his sacrifice. The songwriter wants to “bow down” and “say that You’re my God.”
The song’s second verse mentions how Christ lowered Himself to our level. He took on the form of a human for our sake because of His immense love.
“Oh, so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came to the earth You created
All for love’s sake became poor”
In addition to the heartfelt lyrics, Abbie has a pleasant voice, which works well with the song of worship and praise. Her light and breathy sound pairs exceptionally well with the acoustic cover.
Psalm 95:6 “O come, let us give worship, falling down on our knees before the Lord our Maker.”
