A powerful and beloved hymn was performed at a noteworthy location in the Middle East.
The road of life is an unpredictable journey paved with many ups and several downs. No one knows what they will encounter or experience from one minute to the next. However, there is One in whom all our hope, trust and fear can reside.
In a video posted on YouTube, a group of skilled musicians performed the hymn “In Christ Alone” near the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem. Not only do they play in front of what is believed to be Christ’s tomb, but the song is sung in three different languages: English, Hebrew and Arabic.
What a stunning and dazzling rendition of the song about placing total and complete trust in Christ, relying upon his wisdom and guidance for our lives.
“In Christ alone, my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone, this solid ground”
Those who commented on the YouTube video stated how much they loved the musicians’ performance.
“This is truly beautiful. Every knee will bow before Christ, in Him we trust He is our salvation,” one person posted.
“In Christ Alone is the theme of my life. I have never heard it sung so beautifully. Thank you from the depths of my soul,” a second user added.
“Beautiful!!!!! All praise and honor and glory to Jesus Christ, Lord of Lords and King of Kings,” someone else wrote.
One for Israel, the organization that produced and posted the video, is working to spread Christ’s message of love and mercy. On their YouTube channel, the group writes that their aim is to “compellingly share the Gospel of Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) with Israeli Jews and Arabs.”
Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
