The video was recorded in the NICU of a hospital in Orlando, Florida where baby Arrow was connecting with her new dad. Baby Arrow was born a micro preemie and was also born deaf.
The baby girl’s father is also deaf, and he started using American Sign Language to lovingly communicate with her during their first moments together. In the touching video, you can see the dad signing “I love you” to his new baby girl.
“ASL is vital for deaf babies and lucky for our little squish, she was born into a home where ASL is the primary language. She won’t have the struggles to communicate within her own family as her Daddy did,” said baby Arrow’s mom, Teresa.
As baby Arrow’s father looks tenderly at her while sweetly signing with ASL as he holds her close, you can just feel the love and admiration that he has for his new daughter. What a treasure it is to welcome a new child into the world! And the bond that these two will share will be something special, that is for sure.
As Arrow grows up, she will always have her daddy to look out for her and relate to. He will continue to teach her and guide her and love her unconditionally, just like our Heavenly Father does for us.
