This video will inspire you to make a difference and to see the people around you. A 6-Year-Old shares an adorable friendship with a grocery store worker.
In an amazing story, we see a little toddler have a friendship with a grocer. Her mother decided to start a charity. Then we see Fiona is 6 years old and visiting her friend Gilnet from the store. She is smiling so big and giving him a high five. He is smiling as well.
Rachel (Fiona’s mom) says that Fiona calls Gilnet “High Five” because they always high five when they see each other. Their friendship is precious to watch. Little Fiona looks around beaming after greeting Gilnet.
When Fiona turned 3, Gilnet even went as far as to buy her a bicycle. She was so thrilled and went to the store to thank him by gifting him pictures of her riding the bike. In the clip, Gilnet looks so excited as Fiona jumps up and down and the two embrace in a hug.
Gilnet rubs her sweet little back and smiles. Because of COVID, Fiona was not able to visit Gilnet at the store as regularly, and Gilnet transferred locations. Fiona’s mother Rachel found out where Gilnet was and started a Go Fund Me to give back to Gilnet since he loved her daughter so well. They raised $5000 for him.
Also, Rachel has started a charity called “Who’s Your High-Five?” People can submit those who have made a positive impact in their lives, just like Gilnet did for Fiona.
This story is inspiring of an unlikely friendship that began in a grocery store. We never know the lives we can impact by our love. May Gilnet remind us that Jesus cares for others and we should share His love with the world.
