Check out this wonderful blind audition on The Voice Australia where a performance of ‘Scarborough Fair’ earns a 4-chair turn from the judges!

“Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme

Remember me to one who lives there, he once was a true love of mine

Tell him to make me a cambric shirt. Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme

Without no seams nor needle work, then he'll be a true love of mine”

The song ‘Scarborough Fair’ is originally by Simon & Garfunkel, and it was released in 1966 on their Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme album. In this audition, music student Celia Pavey performs a breathtaking rendition of the lovely song.

At the start of the performance, one of the judges turns her chair around immediately. It only took a few notes of Celia’s hauntingly beautiful voice to make her want to push her button!

Then the other judges follow her lead and also turn their chairs around shortly after. Celia is overwhelmed by the response from the judges on the show that she forgets the words to the song for just a moment.

“This gave me the chills,” one person writes on YouTube after watching the video. “This song is gorgeous and she delivered it beautifully.”

“This is the best cover of Scarborough Fair I've ever heard,” another person online comments. “It's like her voice was just made for that song. Absolutely gorgeous!”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to Celia Pavey’s version of ‘Scarborough Fair’ during her audition and the video was able to bring a smile to your face today!
