One mom is taking Halloween to the next level by turning a garage door into a monster. If you live in Appleton, Wisconsin, you probably know all about Melissa Janssen’s incredible Halloween display.

For two years, Melissa and her mom have worked tirelessly to create a unique experience right in their front yard.

From pumpkins to skeletons, Bone Hollow Cemetery, is an attraction that the whole family can enjoy. But one of the most memorable parts of the entire display is the moving garage door that looks like a monster.

As the door goes up and down, it looks like the monster’s mouth is opening and closing. This one-of-a-kind decoration is a DIY concept that Melissa and Ann came up with on their very own. In fact, they detailed the entire construction process on TikTok from the materials that they used to the final installation.

The monster garage door is a focal point at Bone Hollow Cemetery, which is open to the public the entire month of October. According to Go Valley Kids, the display is a great trip for kids of all ages. “Families can view Bone Hollow Cemetery any time of day and Melissa and Ann were careful to keep the display friendly for all ages with no gore or jump scares.”

This year, there is also the addition of singing pumpkins and many more creatures and inflatables.

These women have worked so hard to put on a Halloween experience for their community and their effort is so appreciated!
