What an incredible moment of victory to witness. This video captures a landmark moment as a 4-year-old little girl rings the bell after beating cancer. You’ll smile and cheer right along with the doctors, nurses, staff, and family as this little girl steps up to ring the “end of treatment” bell.

As family, staff, and friends gather, a nurse helps a little girl stand up on a stool in order to properly reach the bell. The nurse then instructs this four-year-old what to say by repeating the words, line by line inscribed on the wall.

The words on the wall read:

“Ring this bell three times well
its toll to clearly say my treatment is done
this course is run and I am on my way!”

The moment the brave little girl rang the bell, the nurses and hospital staff lined up in the corridor to cheer her on. Her mother was able to capture the precious moment on camera. In the four years of her short life, this precious little girl has gone through more than what most adults have to go through and deal with in a lifetime. And the best part is she will have an incredible story of faith, strength, and endurance as God held her through her cancer treatments.

I can only hope this video inspires others who are enduring the long, hard, and often grueling journey of fighting cancer. May the ringing of the bell inspire others in their fight! The end of treatment bells have been placed in hospitals so that children, as well as adults, can celebrate their achievement of being able to overcome and complete their treatment.

The tradition began at MD Anderson in 1996 after a U.S. Navy admiral had undergone radiation therapy for cancer. He followed the navy tradition of ringing a bell to signify, “when a job was done.” He brought a bell to his last treatment, rang it several times, and left it as a donation. It was mounted on a wall plaque with the same inscription that every bell now has in cancer treatment centers.

May we all take a moment to cheer on this little girl for
