The man auditioning in this clip is named Pasha, and he is originally from Moscow, Russia.
“I’m an entertainer but would like to invest in real estate, just in case,” Pasha tells the judges before his audition and the crowd starts to laugh.
He goes on to talk about how he usually performs with his wife but is unable to tonight. “My wife and I, we perform together,” Pasha shares. “Unfortunately, she couldn’t be here tonight. She missed her flight.”
The judges look worried and ask him if he has ever done this act before solo, to which he tells them that he has not. But the show must go on!
Then Pasha goes off stage, and when he comes back on, there is a life-sized version of his wife dancing with him. It is quite the spectacle, and you can tell that the judges are trying to figure out just how Pasha is pulling this off.
At the end of the dance, Pasha pops up and it is revealed that he was folded in half, using his legs for the bottom half of his puppet and his arms for the bottom half of his wife’s puppet. What a unique and talented act!
