Home Free’s Austin Brown reminds us to take time to enjoy God’s beauty with ‘Off The Grid.’ In a fast-paced world, it’s so important to put our phones down and look at all of God’s creations.

“I can’t breathe, I can’t sleep.
Have you looked at the news lately?
I need space, I can’t think.
Why is everyone so angry?”

Today, Austin Brown is putting his own spin on this iconic tune.

You may recognize Austin as a member of the a cappella group Home Free. We met this musical group when they competed in and won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013. Other members include Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance and they’ve become viral sensations with their covers of hit songs such as ‘Ring Of Fire’ and ‘How Great Thou Art.’

2020 was an interesting year for people all across the globe. And while the pandemic forced Home Free to stop their tour, it allowed Austin time to discover himself as a solo artist.

He used these unprecedented times to create his own originals and cover songs and they are absolutely incredible.

Today, he’s sharing an acoustic performance of his original song ‘Off The Grid’ and it’s the perfect song for this moment in time.

“I’m going off the grid
And tilling the land with my hands like my granddaddy did
I’m gonna take the phone, turn it off
Take a breath, talk to God, I need to clear my head.”

Psalm 19:7 “The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.”
