One Chick-Fil-A worker is being called a hero after saving a choking child in the drive thru.
Chick-Fil-A restaurants are known for their impeccable service and variety of delicious foods. You always know when you walk through the doors that you are going to be served a great meal with a side of kindness.
Whether it’s inside the restaurant or going through the drive thru, Chick-Fil-A employees are always there to greet you with a smile and positive attitude. But Logan Simmons, a worker at an Atlanta Chick-Fil-A, recently went above and beyond the call of duty.
He was working the drive thru lane when he noticed a toddler struggling in the backseat of a car. The 6-year-old’s neck was tangled around the seatbelt and he was starting to choke. As the mother cried for help, Logan jumped right out of the drive thru window and into the car.
He pulled out a pocketknife and cut the seatbelt to free the scared boy. Logan told USA Today, “I’m just so thankful everyone is okay. As soon as I realized what was going on, all I could think about was getting to the car as quickly as possible, so I jumped through the window. I’m still a little shocked by what happened but am grateful I was able to help.”
After the incident, the mother called Logan to express her sincere thanks in saving her son’s life. Logan’s quick thinking prevented a tragedy from occurring and now everyone is calling this young man a hero. And that’s what I call him too!
