Vonnie Lopez, a former tone-deaf singer, moved the crowd with her Christian performance on The World’s Best. This unique show is a brand new talent competition features contestants from all over the world in every different genre. The acts audition for a panel of judges and a ‘wall’ of 50 experts in all areas of entertainment. If a contestant scores 75 or above, then they will move on to the next round. This one-of-a-kind show is bringing an amazing blend of talent to the stage and it’s truly incredible.
Vonnie Lopez grew up in Louisiana as the daughter of a preacher. Her entire family had a talent for music, but it seemed that Vonnie had not been given that gift. She felt out of place and would pray for the ability to sing. She shared her story with CBS Local saying, “I just started praying, every single day I would pray to God to be able to sing with my family.” At the age of 14, her prayers were answered and she belted out a song at youth service with perfect pitch. From that moment on, she was going to sing to anyone that would listen.
Now, she’s taking her talents to the big stage with an incredible performance of Andrae Couch’s “My Tribute (To God Be The Glory).” Her soul-filled song touched every single judge and they all gave her rave reviews. Vonnie took everyone to church and it’s a moment that you don’t want to miss. I can’t wait to see what she performs next.
