Children truly have a heart of gold. When they see someone in need, they immediately want to jump in and do something. It’s one of the sweetest traits when watching a kid grow up. And 2-year-old Gracie is the perfect example of a toddler with a heart like no other.
Recently, wildfires have ravaged Northern California. Many people have been forced to evacuate their homes and the fire has already claimed the lives of 6 people. Firefighters are working around the clock to try and stop the fires, but it’s a very demanding job. Many of these firefighters work on a 24-hour shift and this physically demanding task can take its toll. Gracie’s two brothers and her father have all been working on the Carr Fire, one of the fires taking over the state.
After one of her brother’s shifts, he called their mom and said that he would love a burrito. So that’s when Gracie and her mom decided to grant her brother’s wish and help out the other firefighters at the same time. They made a big batch of breakfast burritos and brought them to the crews who were finishing up their shift.
This sweet video shows Gracie handing firefighters the burritos and it’s absolutely heartwarming to watch. This incredible act of kindness is touching hearts all over the world and more and more people are hearing of Gracie’s thoughtfulness. I’m so proud of this little girl for showing the world how a small act can truly make a huge impact.
